Costs vary depending on the complexity of the proposed works and whether your neighbor consents or dissents to the Notice. As the Building Owner carrying out the work, you are typically responsible for all surveyor fees.

What happens if my neighbor ignores the Party Wall Notice?

If your neighbor does not respond within 14 days, a dispute is automatically deemed to have arisen. You must then appoint a surveyor to act on their behalf to draw up a Party Wall Award.
